About

All about antiques news and fairs since 1998!

Based in the UK we have one of the top ranked fairs and shows calendar on the web.

We welcome US antiques related press releases for our readers and accept listings of premier shows across the US for our Fairs Calendar.

We are going off piste here and there on our Tumblr blog with other subjects we love: gardens, food, favourite dogs and anything that appeals to us!

NEW HOME NEW BROCHURE FOR RICHARD GARDNER
Hailing from the new premises in Chichester, the latest coffee table style brochure from Richard Gardner Antiques has been despatched to lure clients new and  old to visit the elegant Georgian house where Richard Gardner now trades. The email version has been split into two mailings due to size at 184 pages but the full colour hard copy is available on request from the showroom. The sale continues for the time being both at the former premises in Petworth and on-line at Richard Gardner Antiques. Among many tempting and desirable objects in the brochure is  a suite of four oil paintings by Hermanus Johannus Ansingh 1880 – 1957, a detail  here showing autumnal leaves. The quartet is signed, titled & inscribed on original labels on reverse. A Dutch artist, he lived and worked in the Hague, Amsterdam, Harderwijk and Nijmegem. Student of the National Academy Amsterdam 1902 – 1905.
